Bye Bye Binki

Today Jace sent his binkies off to the binki fairy. We have been telling him for about a month now when he turnes 3 that his binki goes bye bye. Since his real birthday is on Sunday I decided that I wanted to have him give them up the Friday before his birthday. I wanted Dan to be hear to help me with him, incase it was really bad I didnt want Dant to have to go to work the next day and be tired, or not want to help me because he did have to go to work. But he did really well we only had to go up like 3-4 times to comfort him and then he was fine. So much better then I was thinking it would be.

Here are Addison and Jaces 1 and 3 years pictures. He had them taken at Target. I really think that they turned out good. I Addison was being a little stinker so I didn't get as many of her as I would have liked. Oh well that's ok.

I wanted to get a picture of Jace with his gun, but he would not do what we wanted him to do. Oh well

The MRI

Addisons MRI was on March 2 and everything went really well. We still have not heard about the blood work, but I am sure everything went fine there to. I guess I should tell why Addison had to have an MRI for those of you who do not know. She has got a genetic disorder, and she is underweight (sort of,) she is not so much underweight its mostly that she cant maintain her weight. She started off at birth at the 50% and has been going down ever since. At 6 months she was in the 25%, 9 months she was in the 5%, and now for 12 months (even though we have not had her 12 month dr. apt yet. The dr. at primary children's weighed her) she is in the 3%. So they are more worried about her growth curve and why it is going down. especially when I told them how much she eats.

So happy for now even with no food or anything to drink for over 11 hours.

She was such a good little girl and so tired we woke her up almost 1.5 hours before she normally wakes up.

Sad little girl. This was just after her IV was put in. They had a hard time finding on with her arms being so little. They brought out this way powerful flashlight, and put it on the back of her wrist and it went all the way through to the other side of her wrist to help find a vain. They found one, but had to dig a little for it. Addison was such a good little girl considering everything.

Getting ready to go in. We could have stayed in the room with her while she was in the tube. But we decided to go to the cafeteria and get something to eat. There was nothing we could have done for her while she was in the MRI but sit and look at each other, plus we were both hungry.

Addison in the recovery room. she was in the MRI for about 1 hour and in recovery for about another 1-1.5 hours

After she woke up it was like having a new born baby again. She did not have much motor skills and her balance was way off. When she woke up, I was able to nurse her and also gave her some apple juice to top her off.

The nurses also told us she would most likely be cranky and ornery all day, from the drugs they had to give her to nock her out. and boy where they right.

New Trick

A Princess Party

Friday on Addisons 1st birthday we had a little party we had pizza, cake and ice cream, and opened presents. Addy had a princess party, it was so fun to go shopping for decorations. We had such a good time with family there to share in the special day.

(I got the flowers for $5 at Kents two days after valentines day)

Dan put Jaces pink panther glasses that he got in a kids meal on Addy. She looks so funny with them on.

Addy got tons of gifts! Dad and Mom gave her her first cabbage patch doll, clothes, books, and shoes. She also got more clothes, and toys from family. (I forgot to take a picture of her gifts before she opened them oh well.)

Her cake when I took it away from her. She was not happy that I took it away. One of the other kids was sitting next to Addy, and when I took her cake away she reached for the closet piece to her.
